NOTES:
Generally thought of as an anti-magazine
song, though Chris is addicted to reading
Tabloid Magazines! The cover for the
single has been taken from the video, which
much like Pictures in the Mirror, saw
the band heavily involved in the creative direction.

NOTES: Two
videos were made for this release – the band
were so happy with the idea of using Mark Kohr in the
USA – and his video was going to take 6-8 weeks
to complete, so they released a short term video for
Australia only, while waiting for Mark’s one
to be completed.

NOTES: The
first five tracks also appeared on the Australian version of
the single. The Japanese version is an EP with 7 tracks and
thick jewel case. 2 videos were also made for this clip. The
first and rarely seen one was shot in the USA and featured
a soccer match. This video was ‘buried’ in favour
of re-shooting a clip back home along the same lines as the
lyrics

NOTES: And
here is where you’ll find those 2 mystery tracks that were
additional tracks on the Japanese version of the Roll On EP.
This single was the first from the second album and interestingly
features a song (There is no Radio) that was written for the
first album. The video had a lot of the band’s artistic
direction and is one of the favourites so far

(Aust/NZ)
Tracks 1-3: Recorded and mixed by Lindsay Gravina at Birdland Studios, Melbourne
Aug 97
Tracks 4-5: Recorded by on Triple J’s live at the Wireless 1997
All songs written by Chris Cheney except Prisoner on the Inside (Allen Caswell)
NOTES: Originally
released Sept 97 in a hurry to coincide with a national tour with
Bodyjar, the band originally didn’t expect to sell more than
500 copies. In fact, it took until early 1998 for the band to finally
realise they needed to make their first video, and even then, only
$2000 was spent making it! Although the video would eventually
be re-shot for release internationally, Australian video shows
continue to prefer showing the original film clip.
The cover Prisoner on the Inside, is the theme song from Prisoner (or Cell Block
H as known elsewhere). Characters Bea, Lizzy and Doreen even got a thank-you
in the credits! This is also Travis’s first release with The Living End |

(blue and orange) – all other colours on albums and singles
have been in combinations of red/black/white only. Joe’s

This EP was combined with the prior release, Hellbound as a dual 14 CD for release
worldwide in 1998. The USA art version had Hellbound on the front and It’s
For Your Own Good on the back, While Japan featured It’s For Your Own Good
on the front with just the logo from Hellbound. The back featured a photo from

EP was quickly put together to coincide with the coveted national
Australian support tour spot for Green Day, which the band landed
after sending Green Day a demo and t-shirt. Most of the hand drawings
were done by Chris Cheney, who also created the logo on their debut
album and subsequent singles. |
