Well in 2 weeks (if everything goes to plan) I'm going to be heading to Melbourne for the Grand Final and having never been there before I just wanted to know what things I definately shouldnt miss while Im over there (cool pubs, cool shops etc). I should have pretty much exactly 48 hours there from Friday morning to Sunday morning.
Oh and if there are any decent(ish) backpackers/hostels near the 'G?
Cheers in advance

Theres a few good pubs near the G.

Go to Luna Park. It's good entertainment for a few hours and its cool. And after that, get the ferry over to Williamstown n have a coffe there.
