Haha this is Maddie on Bec's laptop... I'm at her place. Anyways tonight was the most amazing show EVER, a lot better than last night! we were on the barrier the whole night, front row centre. It was just... wow. The parentals didn't approve of me not going - actually they forbade me going, but I went anyway and it was so worth it, even if I'm gonna be grounded for the rest of my life.

Except the boys left pretty quickly so we didn't get to see them. We actually weren't sure if they'd left or not so we spent about an hour and a half just hanging out and waiting. It was really good, though last night they came out and visited us in the tent which was just awesome.

That gig was killer man - it was sooo awesome and i was standing next to the stage. It was so hard not to jum on - i was like resisting all night. And then i threw a bottle over the crowd and i got kicked out and had to go in the pit for the encore but the encore was awesome as as i was in th epit and we were all like srackin each other n then they had the dance cirle thingo. It was ace as and they did HOLD UP!!! When they said "anyone feel like robbing a bank?" it took a second in my mind to realise that they were going to play Hold Up but when i realised i was so ecstatic (i dont think i have ever been so stoked in my life). Anyway - that was killer and as in all the songs they did a lot of improvising. I haven't seen so much improv by the guys before and i think that is what made it so good. Andy n Scott both looked at me a few times in the gig but even though i yelled out his name for the first 4/5 songs, Chris didn't look so i couldnt show him the 'Hold UP' on my arms. Man - the concert was killer and i am so happy right now after it!

Before the red riders came on Trina pointed out to me something sitting on the mixing desk, AND IT WAS MY MOTHERFUCKING DRAWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY FUCK! I managed to yell out at one of the roadies that I drew it.. yeah. The framed Andy picture I gave to him the night before as a bday pressie, and it was still there, un-disregarded. That made me feel fuckin' special... Then during 'Til The End (the first song) Andy looked at me, and I gave him this weird little wave and he raised his eyebrows and gave me a smile and he recognised meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. ^_^ :D

Afterwards we hung around for ages, and we only managed to see Andy drive off in his car, so then we left. Scotty was apparently sick and went home asap, and we reckon Chris drove off a different way. Nah we're not stalkerish at all.

But it was OK cos i ended up going into the pit and hitting a few people which made me feel good! It was good to be in the mosh for the encore because i felt really out of placve jumping around all by myself next to the stage so when i went into the crowd i could jumo n scream without feeling like a tool.

In the circle pit you don't go in unless you know you are gonna get hit and that is the whole point of it. It's just a circle full of crazy people.

And i am sorry that Jessii did have her night ruined but its been done and i did it because that is what you do at gigs. So once something has been done - you get over it. And Aaron - i don't know what your problem is with me but get over it man. I had a good night and im happy with how it went so get over yourself (just cos u missed ouut).

Ask the guys in the band next time you see 'em, what they think about circle pits. Most musicians (i.e. not metalheads) can't understand what they're doing that makes the crowd so violent/angry. They'd be disappointed, I bet.

I hope for your own sake that you get over the "victim must get over it" rather than "perpetrator must apologise" attitude soon. Kinda immature (to say the least), as I'm sure everyone will agree.

Yeah, a hummer with a massive trailer pulled up right at the front of the line, and two blondes with miniskirts and singlets on got out of the car and started handing out kit kats to people. Have you seen the new ads with 'dough' and 'honey' and stuff, because they were dressed like a chef and a bumblebee. Fuck 'em. Atleast they eventually put on SOE, because one of the Ch V dudes handed them the CD.. all the people at the front of the line were all singing along and some people further down were throwing stuff at us and yelling at us to shut up. Yeah I saw a bit of the circle pit action and got out of the way quickly, my neck is killing me from looking up all night, some highlights were 'Til The End, Hold Up of course, and the 6 foot guy behind me that pushed people out of the way for me. Oh I was the short brunette chick in the Superman t-shirt, I arrived too late so never got anywhere near the barrier though. Ah well, next gig.

Funniest part of the night: the chick who was next to me for a while, dressed in a frilly polka dot dress with fake pearls and high heeled boots. I just kept looking down at her shoes and cracking up, then looking up at her and grinning at her. Oh and did anyone hear the guys who drove past the queue outside around 5.30, yelling "what concert is this? The Veronicas?" Call!

yeah i thought they were pretty good too. i had been listening to their EP for the whole week leading up to thursday's gig. i bought the single too and got it signed by the guys. they were pretty laid-back and friendly so it was easy to talk to them. i think i'll get their LP when it comes out.
