Man....this is literally the first time I've listened to Music on Myspace and thought "Shit, this band's GOOD!"

That really is great shit. And it sure is Trav...you can hear it straight away. :)

Thanks Adele.

You have to listen to more bands on there Glenn!

But yeah I like what I'm hearing. I'm not huge on Mutiny, but I enjoy these guys.

Pretty catchy songs. I liked.

Almost like drunken sea shanty type songs. Good stuff.

i wanted it to be about notes and coins too... <_<

but i'm liking what i'm hearing regardless - haha it's like our folk festival over the Christmas and New Year period but with a twist that helps me not feel like falling asleep!

i wanna dance to it!

the longer i'm listening to it (i'm listening right now) the more i'm liking it!

thanks Adele!

I seriously love it! Not just because Trav has come out from under his rock, but the fiddles and violins and everything. Awesome. :D

i'm going to make my parents listen to my new favourite band (almost)

i've downloaded the 3 songs off myspace and have listened to them all about 5 times - they just have this uncanny ability to make me grin :D

my parents will think i've lost the plot though...

oh well!

it's too fun not to listen to it - i'm going to have to get an album or something of theirs too!

there should be more songs that have "toora-loora-loora-lie" in them!

there's a beautiful line in Gates of Hell that i love:

"is it sea spray or is it rain"

there's something about that line that just makes me go all swoony!

and added bunus - you can barn dance to it! :D

yay!

;)

This thread exploded nicely...
I must say being a Flogging Molly, Pogues etc.. fan I really enjoy this.
Reminds me of when at an old school of mine we used to have singalongs every Friday arvo... "Singing too-rall, li-oo-rall, li-ad-di-ty Oh we are bound for Botany Bay"

No not yet. The only stuff available is via their myspace profile.

Then the CD will be released and people can get it then :)

I grew up with a steady diet of songs with "toora-loora-lie" in them courtesy of going to see my dad's band play all over the place and see how I turned out! :p

I built a largerphone one day. Though I was too young to drink all the beer, so I went to the pub and asked them for the bottle tops.

Dad threw it out after about 5 minutes of me playing it along to his cds.

They're not bad!!

Kylie - I have a coin collection i am very fond of. I have this coin that a 1982 Archie Comic ad claims was worth $5000US (back then obviously). I thought that was great, but turns out it's not really worth anything...dang Archie comic getting my hopes up...

I hope this band does well.
Considering that it is quite unique i doubt it but if it did that would be really good.

Mutiny have been around for a while and haven't gotten much bigger than when they started.. so maybe that why they started this? A fresh start maybe??

My friend got me into Mutiny a month or two ago, and yeah never really got further than checking their Myspace every so often.

The Currency look even better - I really wondered what happened to Trav and it looks like he didn't quit his day job.
