Much as I love the TLE video thread and the start of it is very useful, it is very long for a newcomer like me.
So what are your TLE definitive live videos for each song?
I'll kick off with
All Torn Down - RFH
Wake Up - On Rove -
Ok, Carl Rove comes on like a hyperactive chimp [to my London Eye] and he and Scotty seem to be having a conversation from different rooms, but the performance is fantastic.

i think the 2 moments that define them are a) Trav breaking his tooth and b) getting booed by Vandals fans

those vandals fans were so harsh.
but trav was good and told them to chill.

They are performances though.
But otherwise I'd say their first ever paid gig, always gotta be the most memorable for the band
Maybe I'm going crazy but I could have sworn I read something once where they said that their first gig was at a car show or something...

hmm really? that sounds mad
the best ones would probably be them playing as the longnecks/runaway boys, them playing at the palace for the three consecutive nights before it shut down (the palace has tonnes of history with the boys and on top of that i saw them there at the first show GO ME!!!) and probably the falls festival aswell.
oh n the hellbound ep release gig. i love hearing misspent youth played live

Hehee, is that the one where Chris fudges the lyrics at the beginning, and almost chuckles through the next line? ("Some say...was his last day! Some say...life is a struggle!") That really is an amazing performance, I'd forgotten about it!

I haven't seen many live videos of them (certainly not many bootlegs), but this is one I always show first to friends when I'm a-prosletysing the band, which makes it pretty definitive for me!
E-Boogie/Second Solution - Big Day Out '03 (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Sl3mM1Cvvo0)
It's got everything that's great about their performances, for me; Chris' effortless guitar improv, the way they play with the crowd, feed off the crowd's energy, as well as the classic beer-bottle-as-a-slide, and those drawn-out, indulgent endings...Chris' and Scott's voices even come through really clean and strong, which is always a plus!
(Actually, I'll grant, if it's missing two things, it's double bass balancing and the E-Boogie drum solo. Can't have it all, I guess!)

haha that's where a) I was standing behind a group of guys that went through about 2 slabs of beer throughout the gig and b) someone picked a fight with me cos I was carrying a friends pink supre bag

Even with Chris forgetting the words?!!!
I think Who's Gonna Shave Us? from that vBus gig was the best of that track I've heard.
All Torn Down live @ The Chapel
'Til The End live at Festyballs Hall
Tainted Love on Recovery
End Of The World @ Townsville

Interesting.
I really, really love the performance of Wake Up on Sunrise. It was one of the first live videos I downloaded and I fell in love after I watched it. But there are MANY others I love as well. Too many of them to list, really.

Because there aren't any extra apostrophes in it (unless it's been edited and hasn't shown up) :p
