I just know that he swapped it over cos he wasn't happy with it for something or other.
He's tryin to iron out the kinks, so that once it finally goes into production, he'll be happy to have put his name to it :)

Holy crap. at soundscape he was sporting lovely black hair and now its blonde again :( I love both, but awwww. I want the black back for a little while! i think the blonde makes him look older (*hopes that Chris doesn't read this post* :p)

Caught the gig at Hepburn on Thursday night - was an absolute corker!
I've never had the chance to stand that close to a well-known band and watch them play.

I think the band must think that Hepburn has some sort of hat fetish after a few audience members handed the boys their hats to wear, which made for some entertainment - even a bra was thrown up on stage which was quite funny.

It was a terrific gig. The guys played really well and the lyrical material is getting stronger. There were a couple of songs that didn't do anything for me, but over-all I think the next album will be pretty good.

I would also like to thank the band's technician who was kind enough to get the band to sign the pickguard off my old Gretsch. Thanks mate, it really was appreciated.

To be honest, I didn't think it was that hot until people started moshing in the last part of the show. Under the stage lights it's always bloody hot - which is great for killing guitar strings!

To answer somebody else's earlier question about the signature Gretsch, I believe it may be prototype one, with a Bigsby retro-fitted to it.

Yeah. I think that's what it is with me. I don't think I've seen a decent pic of the current blonde hair where it's not wet and stuck to his face! That's when he looks older-ish!

Thanks for the pics Filertron. Its a BIG effects board that man has now, was syaing to maybelline, for a man who used little to no effects on the first album(He had a Wah pedal and the Tube Screamer), he sure likes his effects now, and so do I! Give him a chance to bring a whole new dimension to the music...

I went to Geelong and had a better time than I had expected.

Chris looks gorgeous. I will regret this, well hopefully not, but he does look hot. The hair suits him, fell like its 97/98/99 again, the silly silly gorgeous man!
Andy will always look gorgeous, he a perty man, always has been always will be. I think the shaved hair suits Scotty, but the quiff will always be the front runner for that man!

The music was good too, I'm still processing it all. Its hard in a crowd like that. Just don't feel relaxed enough to get a proper listen.

I can't wait to hear the recorded versions of the songs.

I can't believe how much this band have changed my life, and actually been a corner stone of the turn I took, and also the corner stone of some very interesting decisions. All for the better, and I thank THEM everyday for the absolutely great friends I have. Because they are, and I'm lucky.

Well Shadow, I asked Chris about some of the lyrics on sat night at Geelong, and he said that they're all still in their infancy and that alot of things are still being changed around and all.
So I dare say song titles are in the same boat.
Or maybe too, it just depends on who's typed them up and how accurate/lazy they are at the time...?

As for the song Faith, we got to hear them mucking about with it at the Geelong soundcheck, sort of only doing small chunks at a time, but those snippits sounded mighty fine, and afterwards I asked Scottie about it.
He said it was a demo from yeeears ago (Chris later said it was about 4 years old), and they were just pulling it out to see if it would work.
Well they played it (pretty much) in full at the actual show, and DAMN its good! A catchy tune and just...whoa!
Really hope they keep it, or at the very least play it on Fri night at Bendigo!!

And jhudz, (this is coming from a rockabilly purist point of view, but) I wouldn't call Suzy a rockabilly track, just a bloody good rockin song!

Yeah, it was me.
At the Hepburn gig, he ended up swapping it with another guitar, and you could tell before that happened that he just wasnt happy with the sound he was getting from it. He looked kinda puzzled/annoyed.
He wasn't specific with what it was, but just said after that he wasnt happy with some aspects of it, and doesnt wanna put his name to it until he is.

Ah yes, the snow needs to melt, I'm sick of winter. Really weird weather patterns too. Springlike one day and snowstorm the next! Waterloo probably has more snow though, 'cause I believe that area is in the snow bell. When it snows, they get dumped on.

Haha, I'm going to University in Guelph right now, about a half hour or so from Waterloo. We got an assload of snow recently, and the temperature in the past 3 days has been ridiculously cold.
