Jet's new album leaked.

"Shine On" which is being released on October 3rd, was leaked by Apple, last Saturday. In the UK version of iTunes, they were supposed to set the album to "Pre-order", but they accidentally set it to "Buy now!" for an hour. Heh. I got it last night off mIRC. I aint giving any links though. I still will buy it after it comes out. It's a great album.

It starts and ends with a song called "All You Have To Do". "Shine On" is a softer song, about the death of Nic/Chris Cester's father. You've probably all heard "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is". "Holiday" is good, with the line "It makes no differance what they say, we're goin' on a holiday". "Bring It On Back" is a slower song. There are also 8 more tracks on the album, most of which I really haven't had a chance to listen to. "Rip It Up", "Come On, Come On" and "Bring It On Back" are favourites in my book. Also "Shiny Magazine" is really good.

Sorry for my vague review. :P I hate to talk about warez, but I'd get it if I were you. It's 66 mb. Or just wait until it comes out. I'm going to buy it anyway, to support an awesome Aussie band. :D

Thanks mate. What can I say, I'm a big Beatles and AC/DC fan, so I do like some of Jet's music despite my dismay about their heavy borrowing.

I wasn't too sure of it... but I'll get it because I know brief previews of the songs are never what they seem. Unless in the case of the first track of Shine On (some french sounding title) which is like 30 seconds...

Really wasn't going to, I nearly always buy my music, but I read in an article today that they are planning to
a) release a bonus disc edition with recordings from an unused session, or
b) save the tracks for another album.

If the bonus edition comes to be, I'll buy that. Special edition releases really shit me. They did it last time. Good way to promote piracy, releasing extra bonus tracks like that

My internet skillz arent 1337 enough yet to download anything from Mirc, so i;ll haveta purchase it when it comes out. or ask the record company for it (which is doubtful cause they dont send me squat anymore)
