hey guys im in sydney for a couple of days and want to look at some guitars.

where are the best shops in sydney?

parramatta road? (did i spell it right?)

there's a couple of places in annandale, along parramatta road, pretty much on the walk from johnston street to the annandale hotel, cause that's about as much of annandale as i know :D

venue music is near town hall station, there's 2 stores, guitars and stuff in one, and dj equipment and mics in the other.

allans music is alright, they're broader than just guitars though

That depends on where abouts you are on parra rd. If you start at parramatta theres the guitar factory which is alright, although that isn't on parramatta road. there are a few stores spread all across parramatta road because it's a fairly long road :p

the best advice I can give is to look through the yellow pages when you are here. plenty of shops listed in there

yeah ok cool thanks. im just gonna go into the city, get to george st and jump on the 436,437,438 and go along parramatta road and when i see a music shop get off and go have a squizzy!

ahhh im in love. played tenessen rose today, a black falcon, and a white falcon.

all sounded grreat. i played through the new Fender Supersonic. i dont know if i like them. the retail for the Falcon was $6699 and i was like :O but i talked him down into the 5's. giving him a call tommorow! i actually quite liked the tenessen.

well yeah i checked out the other stores. all fairly good. went into this one place called somethings "rare guitars" aka i cant remember what the first word was.

nice guitars and some really nice matchless amps. also went into a shop which i thought was called "MUSIC LOL" but was actually called MUSIC 101. my bad :D

just pick up a guitar, you'll have every wanker in the place within 5 seconds telling you to put it down

I went to Jacksons Rare Guitars in Parramatta rd. Annandale when I went up to Sydney last year and thought it was a cool shop. The guys in there seemed to be cool with letting me play the guitars.

Not far away there is a good bass guitar shop, I saw a Rickenbacker bass in there and thought it was Lemmy's because he was in town then, but it was only Wolfmothers.

There is also a shop in Parramatta rd. that sets up and services your guitar for only $100 I think the dude said. They had all this fancy gear.. so if I ever go up to Sydney again i'm going to take my guitar in there.. because mine are getting pretty beat up, the saddles on my duo jet are warn out and are cutting my strings and the original nut? (the white string guider at the top of the fret board) broke and the replacement one I got isn't thick enough and doesn't wanna stay glued in.

well i was just bamboozled when i found out parramatta rd isnt actually in paramatta...rather quite a distance away.
