i had to come in here just to say how much i hate the heading of this thread. everytime i see it i think it says "Tle, Area 7" and i get all excited...then i open it up and i'm sad again :(

Great gig...as u'd expect! :) The venue and feel of the gig was much better than seagulls! It was packed and so friggen hot!

It was so bloody hot!! I swear the whole place was one giant sauna!
Best part of the night... END OF THE WORLD!! Have been waiting to see them play that song for so goddamn long! Awesome! Looks like my request paid off.
Worst part... running into all the sweaty guys from the mosh on the way out :confused:
No pics from me, but I recorded the little instrumental section of All Torn Down. Visuals are crap, but the sound is there.

Back from the dead for one post only - the one and only serious14 :p
Saturday night was fucking spectacular. After the shows in May I seriously thought that there was no way possibly that these three chaps could get any better and tighter as a band - and boy was I wrong. Never have I been so happy to be so wrong. Far and away the best TLE gig (from a musical perspective anyway - from an overall view it's still pretty hard to top NYE last year) I've ever been to, and I'm beyond excited that I get to see them again tomorrow night. Coastie pride yo. :cool:
On a side note - in my infinite wisdom I decided that it would be a great idea to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath my Socceroo's jersey (a cross town taxi dash from Suncorp Stadium to the valley for $15?? Bargain!!!), completely forgetting that Brisbane is a lot hotter than Sydney (I was on a 16 hour hit and run mission, so I didn't bother booking anywhere to stay), and not knowing that the Arena is like a freaking sauna that's on fire. Jumping and bouncing around a lot probably didn't help either, but I've got the boys to thank for that. :D
Song highlights - a ridiculously fast Tainted Love, End of the World, and the sheer ROCK 'N' ROLL factor of 'Til The End. Make it tomorrow night already.

I also went to the Arena- the fifth TLE gig that week I went to, and definitely the best!!!
End of the World - I did NOT see that coming!! It was SO awesome, Chris' solo brought down the house. It was a great substitute for Uncle Harry, which they have been playing other nights.
At the end, Chris was high-fiving the front row and he high fived me and then grabbed my hand and gave me his pick! It was so cool, I couldn't stop smiling.
Throughout the week of my TLE roadtrip I also scored two of Andy's drumsticks. I also got to meet them and I got to show them my TLE tattoo which they thought was awesome :D
But the Arena was definitely the best - pretty sure I now have carpet burn due to the barriers!!
Good to be back at the forum :D

What a great gig.
Best moment was being annoyed at being near the back of the moshpit to only 3 songs later be on the barrier platform.
Great to hear End of the World and good to open with Till The End. Only 1 song i was disappointed to hear was Tainted Love.
Oh, also hearing the drum solo in E-Boogie plus seeing Scotty doing 2 bass climbs. I hadn't seen him do it it ages
Yeah, i was there and then i wasnt there for a little while but I saw most of the show and avoided the two lame bands I didnt want to see.
I got separated from kylie and from james for like the entire night so i just cruised about, and some young fellow asked me if i was engaged.
And I was outside for the last little bit, like the last song and the encore or something because it was just SO HOT and I was overheating and dying.
OMG THE BEAT WAS THE BEST PART OF THE NIGHT.
