Can I ask you a question?
What do you think of the guitar? Nice to play? Feel better than other guitars in the same price range?

To be honest I love the guitar, sounds great, just feels good to play, just a good guitar allround i have tried a couple of other guitars in the same price range and they are all pretty much the same but this one just seems to stand out a bit.
I was just wanting to c wat every1 else thinks about it because i dont really no much about guitars because i havnt been playing a great deal of time.

It should do good for AC/DC and TLE. I dont know much about SG's but if they can get a decent metal tone it should be fine.

hey i own a epiphone tony iommi signature sg which is quite nice.... its got gibson pickups which i think make a difference but i guess the feel of the guitar should be the same..if it is it should have a nice real low action and the neck feeels thin i guess compared to most...good thing about sg's are that u can access the high frets easily so u'll find that good (bahh going round in circles)
in the end the decision is up to you... i give u the thumbs up

Hey dude, yeah I've got one of those. Had it for two or three years now i think......in short, very good guitar for the money......pickups and pots are possibly the only weak link, yet they still give quite a nice approximation of that sort of tone i guess.
Then again, if you don't have anything to compare to, your none the wiser anyway :)
AC/DC piece of piss, T.L.E little harder......almost anything can get in the metal ballpark with enough gain ;)
My one reccomendation though......that guitar sounds much much better with heavy strings on it......it'l probabaly come with 9's.....if you can work yourself up to 12's or 13's it just kinda breathes so much more......and you can belt the abosute shit out of it and its just killer....
And I've only recently just bought another guitar, which is much better, but it was of course much more expensive. You'll get really good use out of it Im sure, nothing really holding you back from getting better from a playability pespective.
Anyway.....my two cents hope it helps ;)

What type of strings do u have on yours?

Well to be honest, I've never noticed a particular difference with brands really.....
I've got dean markleys on it at the moment, just their 12-54's i think, but if you can really work a bit for your sounds, 13-56's are the shit. just make sure you get the truss rod adjusted by someone that knows what the'yre doing.
But yeah anything 11's and up is going to reallymake a difference in my opinion.
have fun with those blisters. i found playing on an acoustic whilst playing what i would on an electric was really good for getting used to heavy strings and such.....electric feels easy after acoustic....

i just changed from 9-42's to 11-46's or something, and the thicker strings are great, i can't believe i didn't try them earlier. the thicker strings seem to react more to my playing, which is a big bonus. the extra tension is great.
brand doesn't really matter to me, i've used ernie ball, KR, some generic "stay in tune" strings, and now i've got d'darrios, however it's spelt. they only cost like $14.

Yeah, for starters it might pay to perhaps stick with the well known brands i guess - D'addario, Markley, Ernie Ball. They're all good strings, from there you've got a benchmark type thing to compare others against.
Next ones i want are this new signature Brian May set.......24k plated hehe......forgot the brand though. AShould look cool on a falcon though....long life too apparently.
