View Full Version : TV/Radio Recording Requests

If you want a copy of something coming up on TV or radio, ask here.
People on here seem to like recording stuff, not just of The Living End, so if there is anything from the past that you think someone might have a copy of, no harm in asking about that either.
Not everyone has the facility to upload recordings to the internet, so perhaps requesters and recorders can swap discs, or arrange their own terms. Someone might volunteer to upload in exchange for a hard copy. If you have these facilities/skills, make it known!

Requesting: The Triple J Impossible Music Festival (http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/livemusic/line_up.htm), starting at 6pm tonight, finishing midnight Sunday. Yes, all of it. Hopefully someone has a recorder they can leave running, and then burn the thing to a disc (DVD, probably - that's a lot of mp3), and send it to me. I'll volunteer to cut the files up and upload the sets that people want in exchange for this. Let me know soon! (I'll settle for a couple of specific sets, but other people will inevitably want other recordings, etc... so I thought getting the whole thing would be simplest.)
I have: DVD-quality recordings of You Am I's 'Convicts' set, and the Yeah Yeah Yeah's set from JTV Live a couple of months ago. Hopefully I'll have proper DVD software to make chapters, etc. soon, but in the meantime I can still offer the unedited video. DP, if you still want a copy can you please PM me? I lost your address in the last board crash.
Skills, etc: I have a digital TV tuner in this computer, so I can record anything from TV. But until I get a cable to connect to the aerial, I can't do recordings very often - so it'll have to be a pretty special request. I can't record anything from the radio, though. Our internet connection is also pretty slow, so in general I'll prefer to send discs rather than upload.
Thanks in advance, guys!

does ANYONE have the rages TLE did? I know it'd be a bitch to get to places but a copy of either would be freakin' awesome :D

I have the more recent Rage Guest Programming on VHS but don't have the facilities to copy it.
Anything on DVD I can rip and upload. That's my thing. It's what I do.

ooh. Our new computer will be able to rip vids and then burn them to DVD, but I dunno if you'd wanna be posting your video around! And we probably won't have the facilities to do it for a while anyway.

Damn I really would have been able to do this except I can't charge my Zen atm. I will be recording a few sets but quality might not be great and I won't be able to give them to anyone until next week.

BEN FOLDS FIVE (1998)

Mine differs. If you put it in the right spot, it turns out great. But i've had sets turn out dodgy before.

Mel, I have the last TLE guest program. I'm not gonna upload that much crap, but i can copy it to dvd and snail mail it to you if you like - its only video quality (and from memory it's not in stereo) though. pm me if you want.
I have a a stand alone dvd recorder/hard drive and a dvd burner in my computer (gah - finally!!) and can burn anything from the tv/radio/videos for people and post stuff out. (i'm recording the impossible music festival now, but i only turned it on for the Kaiser Chiefs...).
I can't upload/download anything because i'm on satellite internet - so it's slow and it's fucking expensive.
I'm going to start compiling a comprehensive list of every TLE video/radio performances and interviews i have (trust me, it's gonna be a fucking huge job) and i'll post it up once its done - i'm happy to share any of that anyone wants! um, besides the TLE stuff I also have heaps of old school (haha, for me) Area 7 (vids - rage/v and radio stuff), MGF at BDO a while back, L@TW's from: Frenzal Rhomb, Rocket Science, The Strokes, Area 7, QOTSA, the guys that supported TLE years ago with the 'kiss you on front' song - can't remember their name, and i think i've got one or two Blink 182 ones floating around as well.
As everyone knows i'm still after a copy of TLE's performance at Homebake 2000, but i can't think of anything else i want at the moment.

I am interested in ANTHING Ben Folds // Ben Folds Five. But I'm pretty sure I have it all. :p If anyone has anything that isn't on http://wokeupwaytoolate.com/ then please let me know. The other Ben Folds stuff I have from Torrents is:
Ben Folds Five "Transmissions From Jupiter" live at the Metro in Chicago DVD
Ben Folds live in Athens DVD
Ben Folds Five "Freaking Out" DVD (currently downloading)
I'm always looking for more! Oh, I also have the Ben Folds Live DVD that I ripped.
Plenty of other people seem to have recorded triple j this weekend so I won't bother offering my services in this department.

None of those DVDs are commercially available.
The Ben Folds Live DVD was a limited edition release, but it's the only one of all of those that was an official release in any form. I don't intend to share the Ben Folds Live DVD anyway.

So where did the other DVDs come from? Or is that just being used as a generic term for a recording? (I'm just curious now.)

They're made by fans. Usually from TV broadcasts of live shows, etc. They've been uploaded to Torrent sites as DVD images.

SATURDAY 17 MARCH 2007:
12:00PM The MAX Sessions
The Whitlams joined forces with Richard Tognetti & The Australian Concert Orchestra to make some beautiful music together. Classics like Charlie No. 2 and Louis Burdett sound even more stunning in this intimate MAX Session.
