Anyway, back on track (although I found that interesting...) - Not long! 8 days, in fact. Wonder if they've gone through with cutting the four (potentially 5!) tracks from the DVD. I really wish they wouldn't but I ain't in charge :p. I do like the cover art now that I can see it better on the frontpage.

Yes, it was one of the first things I noticed. I compared it with other DVD's i've got lying around and yeah, it's the wrong way. Although the new Sherbet "Super Hits" DVD has the writing the same way, too.

I don't know... this is pretty good in terms of TLE playing live. I don't see the whole fuss, sure they were a bit better at the Palace, but I felt that was partly because they played a 'rockier' set (Hold Up, Into The Red...)

I really wish they hadn't cut The Room.

Has anyone noticed that on the HMV site you can buy "cd/dvd" that apparantly was released on the 23rd. It has the wrong track list I think. Does anyone know if this is just HMV making stuff up or a wonderful surprise.:confused:

Yes, it was one of the first things I noticed. I compared it with other DVD's i've got lying around and yeah, it's the wrong way. Although the new Sherbet "Super Hits" DVD has the writing the same way, too.

I went down to the mall this morning to pick up coke and stuff for the footy but didn't bring much money with me. Saw it at Sanity and Ezy DVD so I thought I might run over after the game. Anyway I just got there as everything was closing down so I rushed to sanity who said it was sold out. Then I went to Ezy DVD who also said it sold out and they said to try K-Mart. K-Mart was closed...

Okay, so after 2 nice experiences in Sanity in as many days I might give the 'Sanity are a bunch of bastards' line a rest for a while. (keeping in mind i still think they go against everything that real music stands for :P ).

They should make Grand Final day a fucking public holiday. I tried the other Big W store (after being treated rudely at my OWN store), they were very nice and tried to find a copy for me, but they just didn't have any. So i figured if i was gonna spend $30 on a dvd i might as well try Tracks first (who are normally leagues above Sanity). I rang them and the dude told me he had 4 copies. I asked what time they closed (it was about 2pm when i called), he told me that they are sort-of closed (whatever the fuck that means) already cos nobody wanted to work GF day. Okay... So I said i'd coming in Sunday, he then tells me they'll be closed Sunday as well cos he had to mow the lawns. FOR FUCKS SAKE! Hobart is the fucking capitol of Tasmania but you wouldn't know it!! Business in the CBD are whinging because they're thinking of opening a mega shopping centre at the airport which will mean less business for them...but if they can't be arsed opening on a Saturday I say bring it on!! Every time I go to Hobart (which is a 40 min drive for me) on a weekend most things are shut, or shutting. We might as well not have 7 day trading...grrrrrr!!!!

hehe, anyway, I rang Sanity, they knew exactly how many copies they had left without even looking, so I popped in there and got a copy. Easy peasy, I don't mind paying the extra $7 for good service and to get the product on its release date.

I remember the first time I watched the Splendor dvd I thought it was fucking amazing... But, I'm gonna watch it again tonight. I'm sure it will grow on me, I hated my Franz Ferdinand dvd the first time i watched it, but now i'll put it on at least once a week.

I was the same as you Sarah. After watching it for the first time I was a bit let down. I mean it was great show, don't get me wrong, but after seeing them play those two shows down here..well, they made the festy hall show look kinda average, even though it wasn't.

In a way, I wish that this DVD wasn't released..or at least not so soon. It would have been good if one was released later in the year or at the start of next year, with footage from the May tour, plus some from the current Aus shows and the overseas stuff, cause they're playing so much better at the moment.

But I guess that people wanted it now and there was a big enough demand for it, despite the guys and Rae not being 100% happy with the quality and what not, so it was released. Ah well. I still love it though! :p
