Chris told us when they gave it to him that he was going to wear it for the encore just to prove that he loves their gift. There was only around 90 people in the audience so he wasn't worried about self-promotion looking silly.

I don't think they're that short. He wears his pants low on his hips (kind of..not as low as some!) and having his jeans turned up at the bottom gives the appearance of his legs being shorter than they actually are.

We really don't think about such thing like self promotion of the band through wearing their own logos on clothing when we got this idea and did that gift. It's just because such problem is not exist in Ukraine. Really. It's good when bandmembers wearing their own band shirt because our rock bands have less promotion in their own country at all, even when they have a major lable contract.
And also we did not made it for stage performing. It was a gift and it was very pleasant for us when Chris said he weared it. We'll be happy if he wer it at home now :)

dudes in makeup... not my thing. Chris wearing eyeliner is pushing it a bit for me... but I let it pass as he makes up for it by being awesome in other ways. Generally not a fan of androgeny... or trannies.


As to the photo, I agree: I prefer the original. Somehow too much contrast and exaggerated definition in the second version. The naked eye simply wouldn't see it with that colour saturation.

I posted my colored version because I found it first, and I felt like coloring it this way back in november. Everyone can make photo darker (that adds details and that's what Nicole did).
And I often disagree that rock music pictures should always look darker, less hued and stuff. These photos weren't colored at all and it's photographers fault. 21st century isn't a right time to leave photos look raw. If they were mine, I'd make another coloring, not the one I did because I know masses love different kind of style. But this time it was supposed to be made only for me.
And just to let you know - when I'll have photoshoot with The Living End (and I will!), I'm going to color these photos as I want, and you will not be able to discuss it because I won't show originals.

I personally think adding colouring to the photos are better than some of the original shots.
The effect looks better.
But thats just what I think anyway haha.

Everything is open to opinion and debate, Amur. I merely said that I preferred the original picture because there was too much colour saturation and contrast in your reinterpretation of the photo. Just because the photo wasn't coloured in the original print doesn't make it wrong- it merely makes it their version of how they want the image to be portrayed.

I have to say that, personally, I disagree with the idea that rock music photos should not be typically darker. To have hypercoloured photos of rock bands would be too like the film pleasantville- like I said, like disney got a hold of it and tried to make it unnatural. Rock is about rawness, it's about things being untouched and untampered with by electronic gadgetery- but above that- rock is dark: It's subject matter is dark- the people, the music and the stereotypical imagery is dark. This isn't pshycadelia.

Amur, while I think most of the photos you post of TLE are great, I don't see that you need to get all antzy with me because I said I didn't like what you did to the original. Fill your boots, mate; get your photoshoot and post what you like- you can't stop people forming opinions on your work- If you intend on a profession as a photographer you had better get used to people saying they don't like some of what you do.

Yes I know it. But also I know that photographer himself is the person who has more doubts on his photos most of all people, so it always hurts when someone proves you worse thoughts about your own work.

Talking ‘bout colours (a very subjective topic), with the photo above my post (which I think is awesome I might add), if I look at each individually then both colourings seem fine. In my testing I have found that when creating an article from the Front End and selecting Front Page the article gets published but doesnt appear on the front page. I have to go to the back end and select the front page there. yes the user has Front Page Publisher rights

Hopefully there is a simple answer

Also while I think of it - how can a Front End Publisher see the documents that have been authored but not published ??

sure. though I think boys look much older here, it has something to do with post production of these photos.:confused: or that's becase of particular b/w filter which wasn't supposed for taking portraits.
