I saw the title and immediately thought "Music for your penis".
Sounds like a best seller compilation!

You cease to amaze me Glenn...

music for morn instruments?
and you're normal Andre?
*shrugs*
horn music is one of those things that gets me in the mood so "porn music", and "horny music" equate to the same thing i suppose...

Horns would be brass instruments and probably saxes, as people don't seem to know they are WOODWIND not BRASS! :p

I have never considered saxes to be brass.

Good, but many people think that they are brass coz they look like brass, not the fact they have a reed and so on. You're welcome Emily! :D

But they are technically made out of the brass.......
Conically shaped, the saxophone is the only woodwind instrument made of brass. Although it is found only occasionally in the symphony orchestra, it is considered a member of the woodwind family because it has a single reed like the clarinet.

Of course they are, but as you said the ARE NOT BRASS INSTRUMENTS! THE ARE WOODWIND!
Flutes are made of silver, but THEY ARE ALSO WOODWIND!
haha. Is a piano strings or percussion? :p

I consider it neither. I consider it a piano. Because whenever i think of strings i think of Violin, viola, cello and double bass. I also find it hard to take in that guitar is strings.
I think it is that i have been brought up thinking of dtrings as classical instruments my whole life.

I've done an arrangement for the One Step Behind horn parts. What instruments do you have access to, Willb? My arrangement is for 1st trumpet, 2nd trumpet and trombone, however it can be easily changed around to suit whatever instruments you like. :)
Also how do I get the music I've written to you? It's just handwritten on manuscript paper and I have no idea how to put it up on the net - any help would be greatly appreciated! :o

WOW! Can you please post up the trombone part? :D
You could scan it (or possibly take a good photo of it) and upload it onto imageshack or photobucket.

Here we go, sorry about the wait:
1st trumpet - page 1 (http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o279/Loo_C/One%20Step%20Behind%20horns%20arrangement/1sttrumpetpg1.jpg)
1st trumpet - page 2 (http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o279/Loo_C/One%20Step%20Behind%20horns%20arrangement/1sttrumpetpg2.jpg)
2nd trumpet (http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o279/Loo_C/One%20Step%20Behind%20horns%20arrangement/2ndtrumpet.jpg)
Trombone (http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o279/Loo_C/One%20Step%20Behind%20horns%20arrangement/trombone.jpg)
For each of these parts, begin counting from the kinda quiet "and now you can't think straight" bar, after the solo (the bar commencing at about 2:49 on the recording). Also it wouldn't hurt to double up on the parts, if there's a surplus of trumpeters.
Sorry about the key signature, especially for the trumpets - I realise D# minor is a shitty key, but that's just the way it goes. And Mel, don't get too excited about the trombone part.....it really is quite spectacularly boring! Also, bear in mind this is merely my arrangement, so it's not necessarily note-perfect with what's on the recording. But I tried my best! (If some bits sound like crap, just glare at the 2nd trumpet player...)
If the scan is too hard to read, please pm me and I'll mail you out a copy. :)
Enjoy! And Willb, best of luck with the HSC! If I was marking, you'd get 100% just for having good taste in music. :p

:p nah thanks a bundle for them, they look great! :D

What? No french horn part?
Haha yeah I was going to write the second trumpet part as a French horn part - you know, just to be true to the recording. But then I realised I had no idea what key the French horn is in, or what clef it reads, or even its range! And besides, I figured it was far more likely to come across trumpeters than French horn...ers?
*waits for Willb to say 'but there's seven French horn players in our band! And they all love TLE!'*
