yeah, i think one of the last big floods we had ruined them so much that the shoe started separating from the sole, so wearing tem is almost impossible. however, the other mary-jane stly ehsoes i have come with a variation that means you can use different buckjles. so maybe iu can cut up the old shoes and ue tye same bucjkles. i hope so, caus ei like htose stars. but i think i lise onr og yjr buckles before.

yeah, I find them pretty comfy! Wearing creepers is like being on a rubber slab, but creeper sneakers are more fitted, and alot less of a weight on your feet and legs. Also, if you're a bit accident prone, I wouldn't suggest creepers.. the soles are dangerous!

yeah, what I used to love about living in cairns was that wearing sandals was kinda part of the school uniform. It was so cool, but if you try that down here you'd get in trouble...

The only shoes I ever wear out somewhere are my dunlop volleys. They are so comfy :) but other than that I usually am barefoot. I used to wear slippers to school though :D I only got away with it because they were the right colour (brown)

As soon as I get into my tafe class, i take off my shoes, and I never wear them at home.
Pretty much the only time I make damn sure I am wearing them is if I'm going into Nimbin, cause theres always that chance I'll step on a syringe or a dead body or something else icky and aids infested.
Any other town is fine for barefoot though.

Then they broke again the other day... since then I have rethreaded them again, made a really small knot down an eyelet, and put a cable tie through the top one. Only downside is that I can't take my shoe off without a pocket knife, and that I have a cable tie on my shoe.

Yup, go to a shoe repair place. You need to strip the old paint off before you paint on it though. It's pretty tedious if you're only doing small areas, but it works well.

I went to buy my white sneaker creeprs after many many many months of lusting over them (i got a job ya see!). This was at the start of this year by the by. Anyway, i had my heart absolutely set on them and as soon as i got in there everyone in the store, both shop assistants, my friend and a couple of randoms ALL advised me strongly against getting them. Apparantely 'coz they're white they're really hard to look after and the leather gets ruined easy. So i eventually made up my mind and got the black. And i love them to bits :D

See, growing up, that particular style was always just referred to as 'Creepers', but the rounder toed versions were Brothel Creepers, commonly referred to as just 'Brothels'.

Somewhere along the line, the Brothel side of it got dropped and they were all just 'Creepers', but now when people see the plain old Creepers, they dont know what to call them.
