Voted State Of Emergency. I think they'll do well. The Living End Have been on Triple Js Hottest 100 ten yrs in a row. Triple J listeners must like them lots.

Also voted. Has it really been 10 years in a row? I thought it was 7 or 8ish, but I'm most likely mistaken. A long time either way, and they have deserved such honours.

12-13-2006, 11:03 PM
I dont know about him. When he realeased Modern Times The First thing that came into my mind is....Does this mean hes not dead? All I have is the Essential.. Lovin It.
Daniel
12-14-2006, 01:13 AM
bahhaa lol
i also thought he was dead and when modern times was realised i thought it was another greatest hits :p

12-14-2006, 02:04 AM
I voted for SOE coz I think it's the only album from this year I've heard. I want Muse, Frenzal Rhomb and Anti-Flag's ones though (and interested in checking out The Matches), but I haven't heard them, and hence, am not going to vote for them.
bahhaa lol
i also thought he was dead and when modern times was realised i thought it was another greatest hits :p
oh dear, the ignorance. He is one of the greatest songwriters ever.
Modern Times would be my favourite album release of the year. Either that or The Beatles- Love.
I don't think either will do well on a JJJ poll though.
Evil Chris
12-14-2006, 10:57 AM
but love aint an album. Its a remix of such. Well maybe, I dont know.
How is it not an album? Its pressed onto a CD, it contains music. Its an album.
Evil Chris
12-14-2006, 11:05 AM
so you say a greatest hits is an album then? pfft. that is a bit lame calling a greatest hits good work. Its just a bunch of old reacordings chucked together.
I consider Greatest Hits albums to be albums.
Evil Chris
12-14-2006, 11:08 AM
I call them Compilations.
Compilations to me are a like a Mix CD.
Like So Fresh and stuff like that.
Evil Chris
12-14-2006, 01:22 PM
look on yeah they are also compilations. Compilations are a mixture of songs previously released. From the same artist or not. Albums are records with previously unreleased music. Well the majority of it anyway.
You do realise that the major drawcard to "Love" was that it was new material, in that the songs were arranged and mixed in such a way that THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN HEARD BEFORE right?
Have you heard "Love"?
Evil Chris
12-14-2006, 03:40 PM
Yeah, I dont really consider it an album though. Dont ask why cos I cant give an answer
Daniel
12-14-2006, 04:51 PM
why :p
what the hell is LOVE the album?
Evil Chris
12-14-2006, 06:12 PM
The Beatles New Release
Julian
12-14-2006, 06:12 PM
Hhaha don't bother Jawn.
I voted for tle but The Black Keys - Magic Potion, Bob Evans - Surburban Songbook and SOE are pretty much even.
I'm just flabbergasted that I managed to be misled into buying a CD that isn't even an album! Maybe I should put it in my CD-ROM drive and see if its actually a game.
The Dying Start
12-14-2006, 10:14 PM
It is a game. But it would be in poor tast if i were to say that it's a first person shooter.
Evil Chris
12-14-2006, 11:01 PM
No, its a sim.
