I'm going to have to fly over to see these guys again one day, but not this year :(

From the Area 7 site:

Farewell Our Matthew! 10.12.06

Area-7's trumpet playing and back-flip virtuoso Matthew Sanders is playing his Final Area-7 Gig this Month! Matthew is heading abroad to sample the sweet sounds of foreign shores, so Area-7 and a host of the finest are rallying round to mark the occasion.

Catch all the action live from the Espy Gershwin Room December 29th Featuring AREA-7, NO IDEA, THE CURRENCY, THE RESIGNATORS, DIRTY MITS. The gig is nice a FREE so its easy on the post X-Mas pocket!

Be sure to get down and see Matthew our trumpet player and resident physician strut his stuff one last time.

Make sure you all check it out!

Yeah Mel we're going up on the 29th. We could go up on the 30th if you like, we'd miss out on some bands, but I think I'd prefer to see the bands at this gig anyway.

But I think it's over 18s anyway.

Dirty Mits are grrrrrrrreat. My friends chummy with them.

I'm off to ask the Currency wether they know if it's overage or not. Only 'coz I'll DEFINITELY get a reply back from them and I dunno about the other bands replying reliability.

I got excited when I saw this thread posted, but I have the 3 day pass for Pyramid so miss out :( But at least I got to see Area 7 earlier this year.

Anybody who can make it to this show, definitely should.

Yeah, I know but I'm not too fussed about the bands playing at Pyramid Rock apart from TLE.
But I'll probably still go up on the 29th anyway.

Bec, you're mad if you don't check out Something With Numbers on the morning of the 30th :p

You're staying elsewhere though aren't you?

Bec

Oh are they on the 30th? Yeah I do wanna see them then. For some reason I thought they were playing on the 31st but I have no idea where that came from

Yeah the parentals didn't want to camp so we're staying in a hotel or appartment or something like that.

I'm listening to some graveyard show on SYN at the moment and the guys were saying how they're in a band called the 'Dirty Mits' hehe.

*edit* They're arguing if it's over or unders, and they say the Espy doesn't do all ages/unders, coz you have to go through a bar to get to the Gershwin room, where it's gonna be held. Looks like I'm goin'ta Pyramid!

Well that was stupid of them to build it like that, wasn't it?

Don't most licensed venues have to do either over 18s or unders but not all ages?
Usually if a gig is underage they mention something.

AlinaPOW

True that, 'coz it's such a rare occurence. It just sucks though 'coz the entire line-up is amazing, where as most of the all ages gigs or unders gigs we get, there'll be maybe two or three good bands and the rest is average or emo.

It is an Overage event.

As for your traffic worries:

'You could leave now and beat the traffic..." - Tom Delonge
'Or you could leave now and beat your meat.." - Mark Hoppus

Erik
