OK, so besides me and Toni who's coming?

I dare you to come along and not feel like dancing like a mad thing!

I think this has been cancelled as the dates are down off the FM website... I have emailed management for confirmation...... hope I'm not just being paranoid!

False alarm. Got an email from one of the reps at FM's management. The tour is still on.

In related news, Flogging Molly are rumoured to be back in the studio working on a new album this month!

New material ahoy! Problem is I won't know the words to new stuff and I wanna make sure I have no voice by the end of the night! WOOO!

i'm pretty sure i'll be flogging my molly there. I plan to lose my voice at DKMs too

Your gonna come Erik? woo hoo!

Think Toni was saying Kim and Hugo might be coming as well!

Villam Artists Management (FMs management) said that the tour was still on but they had to take the dates down for some reason and that they'll be up again in about a week (they told me a week ago or thereabouts). Hopefully the show will be announced in Beat and Inpress this week and tickets will go on sales.

I will of course keep my eyes peeled and ears open and as soon as tix are available I will be the first to let everyone know (unless Toni or someone else beats me to the punch).

Gogol Bordello are the support band! Fuck yeah!

Brady

shiiit another one I'd love to go to, but I don't like my chances. If I DO end up making it to DKM there's no way in hell I'll be able to afford to go to Brisbane again to see Flogging Molly :( Bah!

Outlaw Love Song
01-23-2007, 06:51 PM
Pass up The Dropkick Murphys and just go to Floggin Molly mate. Flogging Molly are musically superior and a much better show than what DKM have to offer. It's a big call on my behalf cos I love em both bt it's the fuckin' truth.....think it over!

Just got an email from the FM mailing list. In addition to Gogol Bordello the supports for this tour will be The Sounds from Sweden...

http://the-sounds.com/
http://www.myspace.com/thesounds

It's gonna make for a very interesting night of music! Irish folk rock, gypsy/Eastern European folk rock and now a Swedish new wave band!

Has the Melbourne gig sold out yet?

Cause I just picked up Whiskey On A Sunday (without hearing any of their music) and liked what I heard. LIKED IT ALOT

and wouldn't mind checking them out live.

Kev
03-12-2007, 05:15 PM
Damn it. I was hoping to go to this gig, but it turns out its on the Thursday before Good Friday. Therefor the Thursday before Easter is one of our biggest nights, So I can't take it off.

Damn it.

Outlaw Love Song

Just ask Kev! You might get lucky!

How good is Whiskey On A Sunday!? I've had it since July.....quite possibly the most in depth doco I'm likely to see on a band....

And Bridgette is always smiling in it.... funny cos I never see her smile on stage.

*blushes*

Kev

even though it was released last year, and I bought it this year, without hearing anything from them, or knowing about them, I've really liked what I've heard on this album.

Gogol Bordello is no longer the support for this or any of Flogging Molly's shows.

They cancelled all appearances in Australia due to unforseen circumstances.

And Luke, I couldn't get the time off.. Which sucks, but I tried my hardest. Plus I really need the money at the moment. Its sucks big time. :(

Outlaw Love Song
04-03-2007, 11:25 PM
Damn!

I guess the one good thing that can come out of that is that Flogging molly will get more stage time!

Aaron

Hey Luke, how was the show?

I can't wait for tonight... even though Gogol Bordello won't be there, and my gigging parter cancelled on me. On that note, if anyone hasn't yet bought a ticket to the Sydney show and wants one I have a spare. PM me.

Outlaw Love Song
04-07-2007, 07:22 PM
Mate, they were phenomenal...much better than last time and they played for 90 minutes. Dave came out and did a solo acoustic version of "Black Friday Rule" for an encore.

Aaron

Just got back!

What a show! So much energy... I found someone to go with at the last minute, so that was cool. The first support (The Core) were mediocre, but the second (Sydney City Trash) were brilliant. I bought their EP after their set. They were a terrific warm-up for Flogging Molly.

Since you're the only other one in this thread there's no need to say how good Flogging Molly were... preaching to the converted! I was very impressed by the proportion of the crowd that was dancing about, too :)
