I was reading another forum and they have a gigs section too.

To cut a long story short, they have rules for buy/swap/sell of tickets.

Basically, you cannot offer the sale of a ticket to any gig for any band for more than $10 above the original asking price. For example, a ticket to a TLE gig that should cost $20, you can't sell it for any more than $30 (inc postage)

Basically if you get caught trying to sell a ticket to an event for more than $10 above the original purchase price, then you get a warning or something?



Perhaps we should implement that rule here? Not that we get many ticket sales, but just an idea.

Sounds good. I had a huge fight with my dad 'coz he reckons scalpers aren't doing anything wrong and I just reckon he's a moron.

If that's made official, people determined to make a buck will just say 'ticket for sale, PM me for price'.

Even still though ... at least it might get rid of most scalpers.

Oh and chances are, people won't buy the ticket if they know they can get it cheaper somewhere else which means scalpers won't have as much business!

Also what should be added to that rule is, you must include a price within your post.

Sounds like a great idea to me. Some sort of action needs to be taken with this sort of thing..hopefully sometime soon!!

yeah there are rules. But I can't find them at the moment.

Oh and I did this to the FAQ thread. Its just a start, but its nothing permanent at the moment, until something can be agreed on.
