Well, it is that time of year again. Now in it's 13th year, the very exciting news is that Channel [V]'s Oz Artist 2009 is in full swing!
Missing out on the top spot by just a smidgen in 2008, The Living End have been shortlisted to the top 50 artists for the prestigious Oz Artist 2009 Award.
To refresh your memory, Oz Artist is YOUR chance to have your say and vote for your favourite artist. The award is the only 100% fan voted award of this kind.

I'd say that all hope is lost for a band with actual talent to be the Oz Artist of the Year. (In my opinion, anyway)
The top four are Empire of the Sun, Bliss N Eso, Kisschasy & Short Stack. (Sorry if everyone already knows this)

Sadly, yeah. I have no idea how they are still around. Usually "bands" like them come up, become really popular, then disappear forver. Why haven't they done that already??
I also hope it's Kisschasy. But really, chances are slim.

Yeah but people are kinda over TLE/White Noise now, where as Children Collide are 'in' right now and that's how these things are voted for..whoever is the cool band to like at the time.
I haven't heard any kisschasy stuff in years, so I've got no idea if they're any better than what they used to be.

I've never listened to Short Stack and I don't plan on doing so any time soon.
Have heard Empire of the Sun on Triple J..Bliss N Eso have been around a while now so I know some of their stuff (hip hop)..but yeah, none of them float my boat.

Hey not all of us tweens are stupid. Most of my friends do love bands like Shit Stack and so on, but there are at least a few of us with a good taste in music. Just putting it out there.
