Kristen just sent me a message, and mum told me about it too. Our lovely little churchie mofo mat got kicked out of the cricket today for starting the Mexican Wave and was on the news.

i don't really understand...
why is doing the wave so bad?
i've never heard of someone getting kicked out (here in the states anyways), and how can you pin-point who started it? this sounds interesting, i'd like to know!
I think (and don't hold me to this) that they want to ban it because people throw stuff up during the wave. If you don't wanna do the wave, and get hit by something - possibly hard- you get pissed off.
And you can pinpoint who started it by hearing the countdown to start it.

Ok, I don't agree with the ban but there is a reason why it was banned. You have thousands of drunken fools doing this after a day of sun and alcomahol. Bottles can be thrown up into the crowd, and people can be hit and hurt. It's far easier for the police to recognise and throw out the person starting the wave than people throwing stuff because when it goes around, it's too hard to really see.

its pretty hard to see people starting the wave too, they have cameras though. and theres no glass bottles either.
