Jimmy Barnes - Little Darlin' (Live) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Az2_OrPX9Zs)

I was just checking out some Nasty 80's live clips on Youboob when I decided to go and check out JB in those gross Red & White jeans he used to wear. The sound was unmistakable...so was the pomp and drape coat!

My mouth is still open!!!!!!!

(Sorry...this totally needed it's own thread)

Edit: It's from AusMusic 1990, and my research uncovers the fact that the lineup was fucking awesome. However there were no acts other than Aussies, so I could only assume that the 'Cats were playing in Perth at around the same time, and they somehow got hooked up. (My research found that Jimmy Barnes played the WA bill. There was a seperate bill for each state.)

Cool find hansel.

If only they could do it again, so we all have the pleasure of seeing it done live.

Further research has uncovered that in 1990 Jimmy Barnes imbarked on his "Two Fires" tour, which the Stray Cats supported for most of? Can anyone else say "Hell fucking yes"? I'm just pissed that I was only 7 at the time.

Anyway, i don'tknow any more than that but by joining the dots, you could assume that Jimmy went to do the AusRock show, and decided to invite the lead guitarist from his current support act to pop in and shit som petty decent guitar playing all over the front row. Worked a treat.

Brian Setzer played in Jimmy's band for just about every song on the "Two Fires" album....the inside of "Hits" has Brian listed on pretty much all the 2F songs on the compilation.

A friend of mine was at a club in Melbourne many moons ago watching Nick barker and the reptiles and Jimmy and Brian showed up and joined the reptiles on stage.

We actually a fair few 'old' members who would have coherent memories of 1990s and well before.

the stray cats promised themselfs to never come back to australia as the stray cats. they supported chisel in the 90's and got absolutely hammered and boo'ed off most stages by the yobbo (working class dropkick) chisel fans.

Ended up in a punch up between lee rocker and jimmy barnes backstage on the last night of the tour.

How do I know all this ??? When Lee came out a few months ago he used my mates double bass and got lucky enough to hang out with him one night in his 5 star room getting pissed via the free bar tab.

Jimmy and Brian Setzer and Slim all still get on great. Jimmy barnes had a guest appearance at Slim's gig a couple months ago at the gaelic club.

Hahaha that further explains Slim Jim taking the piss outta JB at his recent gig in Adelaide
