View Full Version : Caity is bored...
Caity

Okay so for the next few weeks, I'll be home alone every weekday. The job transfer I was so eagerly promised hasn't gone to plan, due to stuff ups out of my control.
I've applied elsewhere because my bank balance is slowly decreasing and I have no income.
I need something *cheap* *easy* and mostly entertaining to do during the week. I suck at arty things so drawing things or making things is out of the question.
Any suggestions?

Pick up guitar? Pretty rewarding...
Clean the house. Get really anal about it and empty cupboards in the kitchen, check all the use-bys etc.
Or walk, yeah.

This gave me entertainment yesterday.
1. Purchase personal security alarm (http://www.kathmandu.com.au/14.html?category=safesecure&id=-1618811562) (A personal alarm on a keyring and when you pull it it is as loud as a house alarm)
2. Go to shopping centre
3. Set off alarm
4. Watch peoples reactions
5. Run

haha, you're not the only one!
Caity, when I get bored I eat. So I gave up (until this week) chocolate. But what I do now is buy large quanities of basic ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa, cooking choc, rolled oats, brown sugar, etc) and when I get bored I bake. It gets me eating a little bit less, but it fills in more time, and biscuits and cakes taste best when straight out of the oven. And when you buy in bulk it should be cheaper than going through a family block of chocolate a day :) Plus, if you're any good at it, it's a nice tgreat for others in the house!

I'm sure she's not that bored Grumma :p
Caity - maybe take a day or two to discover what is locally. Do it while walking like Glenn said too! After that is done..then..maybe..do something else :p I have no idea!

It's too hot to walk this time of year.
Catch a train to a suburb you've never been to before and see what's there.
