I got a valentine card yesterday from one of my close chick friends, i just took and said "awwww that's sweet!" gave her a kiss and just smiled, and then i realised she was serious! YIKES! I was mean't to have a "serious" chat with her just afterwards, just to clear things up, but nope, everyone decided it was time to leave the beach and go home, and now i gotta sort shit out. Oh well, that's V-day for ya and it's cool.

Silly hamish has a hatred of all holidays, so when i told him he had to be at my house on valentines day to get his gift, even though i wouldnt be there, he was pissed off.
he should just trust me. i buy him the best gifts.
he came over after much grumbling, and even though i wasnt there to see it, i'm pretty sure he would have cried when he saw i got him a video game, and a bag of lollies. his two favourite things.
also, i made him a card that had a picture of a donkey with a carrot dangled in front of it, and inside it said "dear hamish. you're my carrot on a stick"
i'm a donkey.

then, when i came home from tafe, he had already left, but he made me a card that had a loveheart sitting on my bed playing video games. hamish draws lots of loveheart-men for me. he draws them playing at doofs, dragging speakers around, getting drunk, going camping. etc.

so i only like valentines day when hamish does something cute like that for me. otherwise i dont really care.

oh! and i went to the aldi and i got some pasta that is lovehearts. im sort of scared to eat it. but man. lovehearts.

The last and only time I had a boyfriend on Valentine's day, he pierced his scrotum (in the evening, wasted, after I'd gone home). I had already considered breaking up with him 'cause we were just a shitty couple, and that was the final straw.

Today I'm going to see my boyfriend (I guess I can call him that), who is a really good friend that told me he liked me on Sunday. It's such a trek to Brighton though, ergh, effort. And it's raining and cold and stuff. But he's promised to make a nice dinner and have a romantic present for me, awww. I bought him the cheesiest card I could find and wrote in it asking if he wanted a ticket to see a London rapper that we're both obsessed with (Lady Sovereign).

My valentines was just lovely. I woke up at about 9:30am still so drunk that i couldn't walk. My hangover is still really horrible.

At work tonight, there was a Valentines Day cocktail sort of party for all of the Gold and Silver Tasman Club members. What a load of crap it was. It was way over the too. One woman was such an airhead..you just had to take one look at her and you would laugh. Man was she weird.

Tasman club members are people who spend shite loads at the Casino (gambling, drinking etc) and who also pay big bucks to be in the club. They're mostly over 60s and are really rude because they think that they are so better than anyone else.

Gah. It was such a sickening night. The "entertainment" was crap, the band was crap and the MC (who works at the Cas) was really, really annoying. And there was pink everywhere. Ew.

David had sent me a card because it was a last minute plan to go down and see him, so I woke up and got that. Then I went to see him and got chocolates, then he bought food to make me dinner and a pretty red rose. I got him a card and just ordered the tickets to see Lady Sovereign which is gonna be so good. I had a lovely evening, even if I did have to make the dinner in the end.

On my train home, a girl was glaring at my rose. I bet she was single and spent her Valentine's day sitting at home alone with cheap chocolate and a crap movie.
