One of my favorite songs by them. Does anyone know the songmeaning? "Just like the english army, not saying I know what's right." It's probably some sort of allusion I don't understand because I'm an american teenager who hasn't been exposed to anything related to the English Army. What does Chris mean?

We have a thread! http://www.thelivingend.com/vBforum/showthread.php?t=81

From memory Chris said that it's not actually about the English Army...not specifically anyway. Someone might be able to link you to the Lyric Definition page on the website, i don't have the link here at work.

Strangely, in the conversion of the band-given song meanings from their original place on the older versions of this site to where they now reside, the EP meanings were lost. And I KNOW at least some of them were given, because I can remember them at least in part...anyway.

Chris said English Army wasn't about specific events, but about more general social cruelty, division, and suffering being inflicted upon others..much like that dealt out by the "English Empire" back in the days of the East India co. and what have you.
